The Trinitas Classical Academy school is led by Classical Education Schools of North Carolina, a non-profit organization dedicated to shaping the future of education through innovative charter schools. Our governing board comprises a diverse group of passionate individuals who share a common commitment to excellence in education. Our mission is to guide and support charter schools in providing students with exceptional learning experiences that prepare them for success in an ever-changing world.
Role of the Governing Board:
The governing board of Trinitas Academy plays a pivotal role in overseeing, directing, and sustaining our charter schools' growth. Our board members bring a wealth of expertise in education, business, community engagement, and innovation. They are responsible for setting the strategic vision, ensuring accountability, and safeguarding our schools' mission and values.

Board Members:
Walter Tribolet DIBA - Vice Chair
Walter is a local father of children in an area school. He is from Switzerland and settled in Charlotte with his wife and family. He holds a Doctor of International Business Administration (DIBA). He's a business leader with a background in various industries.
Mikail Clark
Mikail is an area attorney at the Charlotte office of Kilpatrick, Townsend, & Stockton, LLP. His areas of expertise are mergers & acquisitions and general corporate business-related law. Mikail's mother is a lifelong teacher, including in public, private, and vocational Classical schools. Mikail's eldest son attends a North Carolina Classical Charter School. He serves and volunteers in a number of organizations, including the Union County Chamber of Commerce, and is a graduate of Washington & Lee University (J.D.) and Liberty University (B.S., MBA).
Judge Marcus Long
Judge Long is a retired Chief Circuit Judge who resides in Mooresville, NC. He was appointed by the Virginia Legislature as a Juvenile and Domestic Relations Judge in 2012 and retired in 2020. He was involved in the juvenile justice system, youth services, and education. He served as a member of a liaison team to communicate between the Juvenile Justice system and the Virginia Legislature. Judge Long spoke frequently at judicial conferences, legal seminars, and civic groups.
Virginia Lawyer’s Weekly named Judge Long a Leader in Law in Virginia in 2016. Judge Long is a board member of the Safe/Surfin Foundation, which educates children and their families about sexual predators and human traffickers on the internet. Safe/Surfin is established in 8 states, including North Carolina, in Mooresville.
Joe Higgins
Joe has a long history in business, policy, and education. He has a masters in education leadership and served as CEO of a Classical Education charter school group in Colorado and Arizona. His focus for the last five years has been on the growing homeschool market. He's written a book The Ultimate Classical Education and Charlotte Mason Toolbox and sells easy to follow curriculum to homeschool families around the US.
Will Bowen
Will is a younger leader in the Moorseville area. As a young father, he is passionate about education choices in the region. Will serves as the press secretary and prior regional director for Congressman Patrick McHenry, who represents the 10th District of North Carolina in the US Congress.
Mark Lockman - Board Chair
Mark was part of the district leadership at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Iredell-Statesville Schools. Additionally, Mark was instrumental in building the State of North Carolina's first data-based instructional growth model for public K12. His pioneering work was adopted statewide. Mark has adult children and is a leader in the area business community.
Anthony Famiglietti
Anthony is a recent transplant to the area where he moved his family for the quality lifestyle of North Carolina. As a four-time Olympic athlete, he is passionate about kids and the role of a well-rounded and diverse education that includes arts, athletics, and character development.
